Facing Nolan
The Secret Service ran a background check before they’d let me in the room. Bradley Jackson — my writing partner — was directing Facing Nolan, his documentary on Nolan Ryan, and asked me to shoot stills on its biggest day: the interview with George W. Bush. 43 cracked jokes, talked Rangers baseball, reflected on Nolan for an hour. I’ll never forget it.

Aledo River
The best part of developing this land is what we leave alone. Aledo River is laced with preservation easements — natural walls of mature oak between the lots, two-acre tracts left heavily wooded, the rural character kept. I photograph it through the seasons. These are the oaks we’re keeping for the next hundred years.
